PATTERN INFORMATION

This intermediate level blanket is created by crocheting individual granny squares in rounds, changing colors with each round to create a beautiful floral motif. The granny squares are arranged in a rectangular shape and seamed together with a whip stitch. Finally, a simple single crochet border is added to finish. The pattern comes written for 3 sizes — small, medium, and large — but can be easily customized by adding or subtracting rows and/or columns of squares. The blanket is reversible; however, the two sides are not identical.

Important required skills include granny square construction, cluster stitches, working in chain spaces, seaming, and understanding parentheses, asterisks, and brackets. A granny square stitch chart is included.
