PATTERN INFORMATION

This pattern will show you how to make a set of simple yet elegant circular placemats which can be used for fancy occasions such as afternoon tea or in everyday life for dinner and the like.

They can also be used as a table centerpiece mat or on a coffee table /bedside locker.

I went for different colours but you can of course just use the same colour for all the mats. You can make as many as you like or even just work up one big one as a centerpiece.

The pattern uses a seamless technique to create a mat with a right and wrong side. This is to avoid the unsightly seam that would go straight up through the circle otherwise if you were just to slip stitch to join and work as normal.
