Sultan is made from 100% pure, soft cotton and features a unique construction of 4 untwisted strands. The yarn is designed with beautiful long colour changes, shifting gently from one hue to the next. The transitions happen gradually, one strand at a time, creating a subtle gradient effect. Where the colour shift occurs, you will notice a small knot in one of the four threads: a natural part of the yarn’s construction. Many crafters work right past it, but you can also trim and weave in the end for an even smoother finish.
Sultan is available in a wide and carefully curated palette, from soft tone-on-tone combinations to vivid and playful contrasts. Whether you prefer delicate fades or bold colour journeys, there is something in the range for every taste and project.

With a generous 800 metres per 200-gram cake, most shawls and scarves can be completed with just one cake. Pro tip: Before you start working on the Sultan cake, run all 4 treads through a small bead to help the threads stay together throughout the project.
NB: We have given Sultan a little brush-up. The colours are now more even throughout the cake, and it comes with a new label. Bear with us as we phase out the old stock, and make sure to buy enough for your current project. We have done our utmost to match Sultan and Sultan Solid. Still, there might be very slight differences.
